Traditionally home security systems were wired. They were installed in homes, appartements, offices, shops. They were reliable and permanent, but also had some minuses which users had to come to terms, among them expensive and messy instalation and the fact that they are affected when there is a blackout or power shortage in your area.
Nowadays wireless security system are becoming more and more popular, because they proved to be good alternative to hard wired alarm systems as well as expensive home monitoring services. They are very easy to install and usually have a lot of options to suit particular needs.
Both security system have some pluses and minuses. Evaluate them, your current needs and your budget, and choose the one that is more suitable for your individual requirements.
